Spitfire Photos
Thought I would share some photos I took during a visit to England a few years back. I was very fortunate to have this opportunity. What a beautiful aeroplane the Spitfire is. Has anybody idea what mark this one would be?

Re: Spitfire Photos
This is P7350 a Mk. IIA believed to be the oldest Spitfire still flying, on charge August 1940 serving with 64, 266, 603 and 616 Sqns. It has had a long Rotol spinner added instead of the original shorter De Haviland.
It's with the Battle of Britain Flight in 41 Sqn. markings post-August 1940 ( note underwing cockades). Nick |

Re: Spitfire Photos
Thanks for the info Buckeye30. I've just been checking out the Battle Of Britain Flight website and Facebook page. Seems they have quite a collection. An excellent array of aviation memorabillia for sale also by the look of things. It would be an absolute delight to see their Lancaster in flight.

Re: Spitfire Photos
Slight correction............she had a Merlin XII with the short rounded ROTOL spinner when built by Castle Bromwich.
Regards Nick You are right the Lanc is quite a sight ( and sound) ( so is the B-17 "Sally B"). |
