Re: Hptm Graf von Stillfried und Rattonitz

Doesn't anyone have some information on Hptm Graf von Stillfried und Rattonitz?

He had an EKM of Stabs- und Ergänzungs-Staffel/Kampfgeschwader 54 Nr 1.

I presume, before he came to I./Z.G.76 STAB 8-40-7.9.40 he was in Stabs- und Ergänzungs-Staffel/Kampfgeschwader 54.

Regards,

reetje

Hi Reetje: In John Vasco's excellent "Zerstorer", pg.135, it suggests that Hptm. Graf von Stillfried was with II/ZG26, if not with 6/ZG26, then perhaps with the Stab. The reference is in relation to a letter written to the parents of a 6/ZG26 pilot (lost on 18.8.40) " on behalf of the Staffel" by Stillfried. Perhaps John Vasco knows more. Cheers. Dean
