It was formerly a 9./JG 27 aircraft. No other Gruppe in the Western Desert had a wavy line as Gruppenkennzeichen on the aft fuselage.

Yes a new photo of "Gelbe 2", 9./JG27 captured at Derna SAAF 1°Sqdn, January 1942.
