Ltn Otto Hollman PoW 1940

Hi guys

I can't find any operational unit/date of capture of Luftwaffe pilot Otto Hollman, a companion of Franz von Werra during their escape from the Canadian PoW train in January 1941.

In their book "The One Who Got Away", Burt Kendal & James Leasor state that eight prisoners escaped from the train at various stages of the journey. All except van Werra were recaptured. Any names etc?

Any help appreciated.

Brian

This would be Oblt Ottmar Hollmann of 2./KG 26 POW 15 Jul 40 (his story is in my Luftwaffe Bombers Battle of Britain)

Hi Chris

Yes, I knew the name but didn't associate the two!

Cheers
