He 111 H-16 VI+FZ 162395 Wekusta76

Dear all,
we are very close to find the exact crash site for this He 111 of Wekusta 76 which crashed in the Carpathian Mountains on 20.07.1944 at ~2000m altitude, with the winter already in full swing though it will have to be postponed for the next year; we already know that larger parts of it were recovered back then by villagers in the vicinity, but due to the non-touristic/remote location there's a good change of still finding various bits from it.
We already have the original Bergungs-Meldung and a Romanian report concerning this crash, but I would be thankful for any other information related to the crew, maybe a photograph of this specific aircraft ?
We plan to leave at the crash site a small memorial and also leave in the nearest village a small display with all the information.

Thanks in advance

This aircraft was mentioned by P. Babin on this site on 17-Aug-17, and also in the book Wekusta by Kingston & Selinger. So far, I only have the name of the observer - Wd.Ass. Rudolf Sanger.

Jim thank you, will search for that post !
Matti thanks a lot, I had already checked your data to compare it with the BergungsMeldung, a small correction maybe, the Fluggast is given as Lehnchen in it.
If anyone is aware of any other data or photographs related to the crew/aircraft it would mean a lot if it could be shared.

Atb, Mihai

Hi all

162395 can't be SKZ: VI+FZ !
maybe VI+FC (VI+VJ is sure WNr.162402).
