2n+bk

2N+BK (not:2H+BK???) could be what I am looking for.
Do you happen to have the names of that crew?
Any crew member named 'Fritz' (christian name)there?

Nice greetings from cloudy Germany,
bye
Frank

Typo-2N+BK. Uffz Erich Keller, Uffz Othmar Kraml and Gefr Fritz Sandermeier all wounded when shot down by Flak. What is your interest?

Re: I./ZG1 losses on 06.06.1944

According to Jörg Zink (2./ZG1) on that date
one 'Fritz' happened to be ill but instead of
Zink insisted to join his regular crew
shortly before take off.
Mentioned a/c name "Berta" would fit 2N+BK nicely.
But pilot is given as Fw. FREIWALD.

Fritz XY "was shot down by flak and KIA".
(KIA info maybe due to lack of memory?).

Or possibly another I./ZG1-"Fritz" KIA by flak
on that day ...
Do you have any FREIWALD loss on file?

bye Chris!
thanks for helping,
Frank

Chris G.
I know you won't mind me making reply to this post.

Fw. Edmund Freiwald (P), Fw. Rudolf Gebicke (Bf) and Uffz. Eugen Luttenberger, all of 2. Staffel, flying Ju 88 C-6, W. Nr. 750104, did not return from a combat mission north-west of Caen on 7th June 1944. Freiwald and Luttenberger were posted as missing; Gebicke became a prisoner of war.

Hope this helps.

John V.

Thanks all !
Possibly Mr.Zinks memory did mix something up.
No true "Fritz" then aboard Werk.Nr. 750104.

bye,
FrankieS
