Hi Sinisa (and Adriano)
I believe, too, "there is a hint of sarcasm" and I accept it as it comes. Doesn't matter.
I'm not afraid about that since I did start this thread with a hint of provocation.
...
Why I did do that? Very simple: Not that long time ago I've been insulted by a TOCH member explaining that posting these highly valuable photos was "stupid" (or more) because doing that I - personally - was pushing the prices too much high for the "true historians" payment capacity !
...
So, I thought, posting these links was quite an answer !
In other words completely ridiculous comment though since this machine (for example) is very well depicted in Mombeeck own collection and already published in the French review Avions N°224 and 225. (Note the profile completely missed the particular yellow wing tips).

The machine is published in Prien too (don't remember which JFV, I let you check) but Jochen did miss the fact it was Philipps' machine.

Take it like an eye blink and I'm sorry for the one who will have to spend a little bit more than expected. (I guess he is a friend of mine )

Regards,
Franck.

Franck and Sinisa,

The thread started in a different mood...Quoting:
"Frankly, 12,50 and 9,98 Euros respectively after one day? I thought it was vulgarly mean for such machine !!!

.. It works ! Prices start to rise ...
"

Franck seems to be French. I lived in France during 4 years and know a bit about French humouristic views...Personally do believe Frenchs tends to be more humouristic than Germans or British, although do remember reading a case of RAF airplanes bombing a Luftwaffe decoy airfield (with decoy wooden machines) with wooden bombs...So, the British in WW2 did have a good mood for humouristic tirades.

Anyway, the thread started the way shown and I just entered the game, loving a bit of fun and being humouristic too.

During the years I have been a member, if memory does not fail me, I have not offended anyone here and do not have nothing against no one. So, if I have offended one of you, I do appologize for the humouristic tirade.

The seller must be happy now...with 750+ Euros for one and 550+ Euros for the other picture. Not bad isn't it Franck? I thought it would range on the 100-200 Euros and they really went up the "stars".

I do agree that "History belongs to us all". We all know about Van Gogh, but guess that few of the Members of this Forum are able to purchase an original Van Gogh...The same with those kind of pictures, on the 600-700 Euros apiece...But I do agree with you in sharing them with others. We are all here for the same passion for History...

Thanks for adding further reading and information about the same picture on other works of Prien and Mombeeck. I thought those pictures had never appeared before...

Mon bonjour a tous!

Adriano

Adriano,

You certainly did not offend me. My post above should be understood as mere observation of your post.

Either way, you are entitled to your own views, but I really do not think that Franck's post here affected the price in any way.

Sinisa

Like said Sinisa,

I didn't help nothing ...
The guys who wanted to buy them knew they had to pay a lot and both read this forum sometime to times with few comments, if ever.
It happens I know them ....
