Newly discovered photo of Barkhorn's Bf109 - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum

Dear all,

I found the following very short video:

The relic of the Bf 109 seems the famous Barkhorn's Bf 109G-6 he flown at the begin of 1944 showing the triangle in place of the inner chevron with the small "5" inside.

What do you think?

Well, its not exactly new. That clip also appears in the old documentary series 'Hunters in the Sky'.

in your opinion when and where this video was made, and is this Barkhorn's plane?

No doubt about - definitely appears to be Barkhorn's machine. At a guess I would say its from spring to mid 44 after JG 52 began its retreat from Black Sea area.
