It was an M.F.11 (F346).

Here is a link although it is in Norwegian.

Re: 25th of April 1940 - Peterhead

Interesting, thanks chaps.

I have:-
(1) Extract form Peterhead Harbour Navel commander diary about a seaplane arriving 25th April 1940
(2) Local press on 27th recounted the story, with a photo of the 3 people on the plane stating a North East Harbour
(3) names from photo in (2) are Olav Johansen, Stein Abildso and Johannas Storlid

The photo on the website link shows Stonehaven with F346, the translation mention Stonehaven

another press article, states the plane was there in May 1940

https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp...ckdown-return/

So I think the plane originally landed in Peterhead, from Norway, before at some point arriving in Stonehaven in May 1940 for whatever reason.

F346 definitely did land at Peterhead. More about it here:

Happy to help Alan. I live in Norway and speak Norwegian so it's a lot easier for me to make a search in Norwegian which brings up results that would be missed searching only in English.

Best,

Tim
