Japan Naval Ops in Indo-China

Gentlemen,

Is there a web site devoted to the Japanese naval operations in French-Indo China during and prior to WWII?

Is there a web site where one may access information relating to the French military operations in Indo-China--in either English or French?

I am compling a history for the 12th Tactical Figher Wing, Cam Ranh Bay, RSVN, and wish to also include a history of this facility/area under both Japanese and French control.

Any reference to books, magazines, or organizations that may have information relating to the above subject will be most welcome.

There is reasonable coverage of that region in Chris Shores "Bloody Shambles Vol.1".

The book "Aerial Nationalism" (A History of Aviation in Thailand) by Edward Young, might provide you with some background on Japanese activity in Indo-China in the 1940s.

Gentlemen,

Thank you for the references. I already have Bloody Shambles, but have never found the time to read it completely--too many books and research projects hinder this task.

There's a couple of side references and articles at the j-aircraft website, including:

Happy hunting.

Thank your for the reference. Amazing. I cannot believe how little I know of this area in WWII.
