Michael, I would think it would depend on the repercussions - being persecuted for the actions of a family member would be a horrible thing to deal with. I don't think we are in a position to judge.

I have visited Denmark several times and I don't think that there is a threat of repercussions or persecutions for something that an ancestor has done.

I don't know, but the family seems to think so.

Re: Danish Pilot Peter Horn - aircraft info wanted

I can confirm that no service record of a Peter Horn is present in BAMA. Also in a list prepared by the danish foreign ministry from 1943, showing all danish officers, who joined german forces, he is not mentioned. I will now try to find out, why he did not serve in the after war Danish airforce.

On the other hand, the association Danske Flyvere/Danish Aviators, excludes him from membership june 1945, because he has shown unnational behavior during the occupation. The same applied to the other danes, that served in the Luftwaffe and WSS.

He became a member of the Danish nazi-party in 1935.

Re: Danish Pilot Peter Horn - aircraft info wanted

Good evening Junker,

thanks for checking and sharing the results.
Do you think someone tries to erase the traces of him from history ?

Have some good final 2018 days,

Michael
