Re: Lemuel Taylor Cleaves Jr USN Parachute June 26, 1928
The aircraft was A7554, an O2U-1 of VO-3S, based on Milwaukee.
Following a fuel leak Cleaves attempted an emergency landing at Vallejo, but the aircraft caught fire on approach. He was badly burned.
