A 'Confirmatory Report' was compiled regarding the 22/3/42 strike on Lae a/f. It was signed by John Jackson and forwarded to RAAF Headquarters, Melbourne.

It records that Peter Turnbull was one of several pilots that engaged Zeros but 'no enemy aircraft were shot down'.
