Thank you, Alyson, for providing those details on your grandfather. This helps clear up some of the mystery which had surrounded his identity for many years for the research community. Like Paul, I would also be interested in whether you have his log books, especially from his time with 501 Sqn.
Also I was wondering if you can provide the exact dates and places of your grandfather's birth and death? Best wishes, Tom |

Alfred was born 20/11/1900 Chatham Kent & Died August 1949 In Bognor Regis West Sussex will see what we have re log books etc kind regards Alyson |
