Bf 109 F ID

Hi Gents,
I'd like to get an ID for this plane.
The pictures is an old auction said to come from the National War Museum of Malta, with no description except Sicile.
My guess goes to an F-4 Z(?), maybe Trop too, of JG3.
Am I right?
Thanks for any comment you can provide.

Regards, Franck.

Re: Bf 109 F ID

"Rih" is Kara Ben Nemsi´s beloved blackhorse stallion in Karl May´s adventure novels. The novels in which Rih is involved are playing in Northern Africa so this may be one hint for the location.

Re: Bf 109 F ID

Thanks Roland,
I thought it was Winnetou's horse
...
Of course, I believe it is the horse of "Karl the son of Germans" And I believe too this happens in Mediterranean area. Left the unit ...
Regards,
Franck.

Big hole in the propeller spinner, old type of life jacket

Look at that big hole in the propeller spinner. 30 mm cannon? I don't know.

This life-jacket looks like an obsolete type, possibly Italian. I'm not an expert, this is just a remark.

This pilot doesn't look like Winnetou. Perhaps an impostor.

Re: Bf 109 F ID

As for the life-jacket, the pilots did prefer the old type since even with a hole it did remain a buoyancy when the "new" deflated putting their life at risk; and this is a fact.
...
Not Pierre Brice either
