How many luftwaffe fighter pilots ?
Hello gentlemen,
I was wondering if the current studies have determined (approx ...) how many fighter pilots served in the Luftwaffe during WW2. I mean JG & ZG pilots, even SG, because these last units have provided great aces (Lambert, Buchner, for instance). I have the - mad or stupid ?- project, one day (in the following 30 years, be cautious ...) to gather all info available on every pilot, and publish (book, Web ?) a kind of anthology. (I'm young, still have stupid ideas). Could somebody help ? Best regards and many thanks to the "team" who did an outstanding job ! Philippe
