Aircraft destroyed by II./J.G.51 at Imely, 7. January 1945

Hi, guys.

II./JG 51 blew up several of their Bf 109G's, probably when they left the airfield at Imely.

The loss record for four of these are in the record for 28. january 1945, but the page they are on is a bit out of focus, and thus hard to read....

I have tried to make out the correct WNrs, and have come up with:

Bf 109G-14 WNr 784148
Bf 109G-6 WNr 165760
Bf 109G-14 WNr 780?73
Bf 109G-14 WNr 78073 (this has only 5 digits, probably the last digit is missing)

If any of You guys have other information on these pls let me know.

Regards,
Andreas

Hello Andreas!
I´m agree, with the data, Jim gave us.
Because 780730 made 75% the same day, it may be the 78073x bird.

Hi, guys.

I have corrected what I feel I can do, pls see records here:

http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_public.asp?lossid=4541
http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_public.asp?lossid=4542
http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_public.asp?lossid=4543
http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_public.asp?lossid=4544

I have not changed

Bf 109G-14 WNr 780?73, because the 4th digit is really not possible to see if it is an 8 or a 6 in my opinion.
Bf 109G-14 WNr 78073 Jim has written as 78037, but I just checked the document and it is definitely 73 and not 37 at the end.
With regards to 163760 I have changed it from 165760, but I am not convinced it is 163780, so I have mad a note about this on the record.

Regarding the 780730 being the 78073 it is an interesting question, but as a 75% loss is considered a total loss, I am not sure if they would have blown the aircraft up and listed it a second time, although it might be just what happened!

Thanks for Your time guys, appreciate it!!

Regards,
Andreas
