Location of production data plate on FW 190A-2

Hi, guys.

Where would I find the production plate on an Arado built FW 190A-2?

I am of course not saying that I have found one

Regards,
Andreas

Re: Location of production data plate on FW 190A-2

Andreas,

The Fw 190 main identification plate (with airplane WNr.) is located on the exterior of the left (port) side of the mid-fuselage, just aft of the lower right corner of the the main access hatch. Look for a rectangular or six-sided plate about 2.5 inches long.

Other plates also bearing the airframe WNr. are located inside the fuselage and inside the vertical stabilizer.

If you require more information, contact me off-board. I happen to collect data/ID plates from Luftwaffe aircraft; if you wish, I can provide pictures of Fw 190 plates for reference.

Best regards,
Steve
