Do we know which unit they were from? And the pilots?

Cheers

Re: Identity of Ju88s?

I think that you have to be a bit more specific

Re: Identity of Ju88s?

Hello,

I think the unit is Luftwaffe and the pilots are male.
I don't know, really...

It seems they've learned the first lesson of How Not To Be Seen.

I always knew it would be unlikely I could answer many queries, and questions like this just prove it )

Re: Identity of Ju88s?

Hi guys

I enjoyed the comments - made me smile!

The question should have been - 16 August 1940 attack on Brize Norton by two Ju88s. Which unit and identities of the pilots?

NB: I've re-read the e-mail twice and think I've got it right this time!

Stay safe
Brian

Re: Identity of Ju88s?

Asked many times before.....no evidence from Luftflotte 3 reports apart from 2 He 111s of KG 27 attacked Benson at the same time reporting the same damage. No records of Benson being attacked. KG 54 active at this time but Brize was not the target

Re: Identity of Ju88s?

Thanks Chris

Do we know the identities of the KG27 pilots who attacked Benson? And is there a report available?

Cheers
Brian

Re: Identity of Ju88s?

I know the name from one of the pilots only from his logbook and there is a brief 2 sentence report if you want me to transcribe both
