Ta 152H stalling speeds and characteristics

Any info on Ta 152H stalling speeds (clean power off, clean power on, gear & flaps down power off and on)? Behaviour in stall (1 g and accelerated)?

Re: Ta 152H stalling speeds and characteristics

Appendix 4 of the Hitchcock text is the, "Pilots Operating Instructions / Ta 152 H-1" and as amazing as this sounds, it does not specify stall speeds.

Looking.

Nothing in the Dietmar Harmann volume as far as I can see.

Willie Reschke (pg. 222) says, "the stall develops at approx. 250 km/h." (155 mph) No info on flap settings.

As it turns out, this is a very good question...

Re: Ta 152H stalling speeds and characteristics

Thanks for digging in those books! Reschke's claim is very odd. 250 km/h is way more than the clean stalling speed of the FW 190A, yet the high-aspect ratio wing of the Ta 152H should give lower stalling speed.

What I have seen of German "Pilot's Notes", they are pretty worthless compared to British PNs, let alone U.S. Pilot's Flight Operating Instructions.

Re: Ta 152H stalling speeds and characteristics

For what it's worth, A2A Simulations has the Ta 152 H-1 modeled as thus:

1 g stall speed, clean: 91 mph IAS (9859 lbs)
1 g stall speed, landing: 80 mph IAS (9859 lbs)
Slow flight: lacks stability, good rudder control up to the point of stall.
Stall: moderate wing drop and roll; prompt recovery required.
Takeoff (no flaps): Liftoff speed 125 mph IAS (201 kph)

If I read it right, the table in the Monogram Close-Up gives the landing speed as 155 km/h (96 mph).

Re: Ta 152H stalling speeds and characteristics

I've just been through five (5) additional volumes in whole or in part about the Ta 152 H-1. None contain information or data on the stall characteristics of the aircraft.

As implausible as this sounds, I think the answer to this question is within the purview of the aircraft sim and game developers. They strive for maximum authenticity, and they pay attention to actual, original data and resources that many scholars overlook.
