Part with a marking to identify
Hi all,
although there is a balkenkreuz, I am not convinced this comes from a German aircraft. Look at the "C" marking that may be a clue. Your opinion, gentlemen ? Thanks GC Last edited by gilles collaveri; 15th December 2012 at 18:09. |

Re: Part with a marking to identify
That does not look like a piece of German aircraft to me!
I am afraid that it is a fake. The prefix 206 seems to suggest that this is a Bell H-58. The part numbers are not German and the circle with the inspectors stamps - is that NA? Could be North American?? It is a post war piece of wreckage or scrapyard junk that has been painted to represent something it is not. |

Thanks for your comments, Andy.
Yes, this part is puzzling, if I may say so.. Gilles |

Re: Part with a marking to identify
Hey Andy,
the French Air Force did use NA57 / NA64, which were flown after 1940 by the Luftwaffe, thus repainted with German markings. Would this make sense ? Cheers Gilles |

Re: Part with a marking to identify
I don't think so.
But I am willing to be proven wrong! |
