Re: Neville Duke has passed away
Athough I never met him, I did receive a letter from him when I was a young schoolboy. Having read his book 'Test Pilot' I wanted to be a fighter pilot and wrote to him. He kindly responded and advised me to study hard and I might have a chance. Little did he know that I had no chance!! But he did sign a photograph of himself, which I still have, and is now available to the highest bidder!!
Cheers - and goodbye to a great man. Brian Last edited by Brian; 8th May 2007 at 14:35. |

Re: Neville Duke has passed away
Alex, have you ever had the chance to meet him? He was shot down his second time over Bracciano Lake.
I didn't know he'd been flying up until his death. A great man and pilot indeed. Thank you for posting the news. |
