Lt. Rudolf Nüsken 10/JG 51

In Priens JFV 12/II it has Lt. Rudolf Nüsken 10/JG 51 as lost in a luftkampf on 07Jul43 in the area of Maloarchangelsk on Fw 190 A-5 (# 1195) ws. 7 ++. He had 4 victories at the time of his loss.

On 07Aug43 at 11:00 (Moscow) St. Lt. Mikhail Ivanovich Vizhunov (AE commander) 517 IAP on a Yak-1 rammed a Fw 190 at Maloarchangelsk. This was observed by Soviet ground forces who buried Vizhunov who was found near his fighter with his parachute unopened. (TsAMO fund 517 IAP inventory 52496, case 3, l. 30). Vizhunov was given credit for a ram of the German fighter.

This would have been approx. 10:00 (Berlin). Nüsken is the only loss in that area but there is no time listed for his death. Can anyone give a time? Otherwise that appears to be his fate.

Re: Lt. Rudolf Nüsken 10/JG 51

I needed to add a correction on Vizhunov's death. It was the 07Jul43 and not the 07Aug43.
