Any MTO memoirs for P38 pilots?

Guys:

Anybody know if any pilots from the three main P38 equipped Med Based FGs (1st, 14th, 82nd) ever publish their war memoirs? Other than Jack Illfrey and James Morehead that is....

The 'Lighning Strikes' magazine contains some reminiscences from the mentioned groups (it is the P-38 Association's official magazine)

As to your question, I honestly don't know. Since the word 'novel' is included in the description, perhaps I should not have listed this one.

Hi Nick,

Also From Model T to P-38 Lightning; Celebrating the life of William Frank Schottelkorb by his brother Robert W.
201 pages, from Pictorial Histories Publishers.
William was KIA 23-1-1943 and had kept a diary.

I don't have it myself.

Martin.

Hi,

"Fighters Over Tunisia" by Shores,Hess & Ring has almost all P.38 actions recorded in it Nov 1942- May 43.
Martin Caidin's "Forked Tail Devil" has some stuff too.
