Lt Walter Krauss 2(H)/21
The above was awarded the RK 29 Jul 40-the first recce pilot to do so. It is said that he was shot down in his Hs 126 3 times in the Battle of France but the only possible match is 29 May 40. Can anyone comment on this. He converted to Stukas, was awarded EL but was killed in an air attack 17 Jul 43

Possible yes but I still cannot see any losses that would match. Was the Luftwaffe using Bf 109s for tac recce as early as BofF?
