Definition of Category for losses in Aviationhistory.no

Hi
Did some research on the page below and losses are defined in categories, like 20 or 21 etc.
Can anybody help me to understand what it means.
Thanks a lot in advance

Re: Definition of Category for losses in Aviationhistory.no

Hold your mouse cursor over the Category number and the explanation pops up.

e.g. 1=Missing due to enemy action. 21=Damaged without enemy action on operational flight.

Re: Definition of Category for losses in Aviationhistory.no

Leo,
For the Summary losses there were only two types of loss assessment. Damaged or destroyed. I saw a note on one of the reports dated 1943-09-02 in the BAMA that stated 1-59% is damaged and 60-100% is destroyed.

I agree I could have been clearer in the table.

BR,
Norbert

Re: Definition of Category for losses in Aviationhistory.no

Thank you all for your replies.
Based on Aviationhistory.no - see link in post #1, the 2./NAGr 13 lost several planes in October which is new to me. In particular these are the 4 following losses
a) 6.10.44 - destryoed without enemy action on operational flight
b) 8.10.44 - destroyed by gunfire from enemy aircraft on operational flight - observed by enemy
c) 8.10.44 - damaged without enemy action on operational flight
d) 29.10.44- damaged without enemy action on operational flight.

Is there any more info availabe, e.g. name of pilot, serial number of plane, Ultra report?

Unfortunately the list ends with end of October but 2./NAGr 13 flew missions until end of April 45.
Thank you very much in advance and stay healty.
Rolf
