Me-109 from JG/2 lost july 14, 1943

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for informations concerning a german aircraft shot down the 14th july 1943 in Evreux aera (Normandy) by the rear gunner of a b-17 from 94th bomb group. I don't know the name of the pilot but he was in flight with Egon Mayer.
Morever if anybody knows the place of the crash.

Thank you all

Best regards
Loïc

There were 5 JG 2 losses this day-Evreux (a FW 190), Laquerville, Amiens, Rouen and La Capelle. Which one would match?

Hello Chris

Thanks for your quick answer, however do you know if one of these 5 aircraft was lost due to a rear gunner from 94th bomb group ? because of I know that one german aircraft was crashed at Canappeville near Evreux.

Do you know a german aircraft crashed at Canappeville ?

Thank you
Best regards
Loïc

FW 190 A-4, 2457, 2/JG 2. Shot down in combat with B-17s at Louviers/Evreux, pilot baled out. Uffz Gerhard Nuss wounded
Bf 109 G-6, 19887, White 6, 4/JG 2. Shot down NE Amiens. Uffz Herbert Gerhartz killed
FW 190 A-4, 7195, I/JG 2. Crash-landed Lacquerville, pilot uninjured
Bf 109 G-4, 19794, 12/JG 2. Crashed La Capelle du Bois de Fauls; pilot baled out unwounded
