Combat 3 November 1943

About 1130 hours, while flying escort to 72 Marauders and near Evreux, 403 and 421 Squadrons tangled with a gaggle of about 15 Bf 109s and about 10 FW 190s. 421 claimed 1 - 1 - 1. Ten minutes after this engagement, close to the coast, 421 claimed another FW 190.

Can anyone identify who these units and pilots were? ... and if so, what were the actual losses?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
