Sorry but I have nothing on Bray, not my area of research.
I am sure you have his Combat Report for that day. Looking at the preview on TNA it only seems to give his surname.

Martin,
I think he is Jack William Bray, who made LtCol in the USAF after the war. There is a FindaGrave entry for him, but it does not have any info on his WW2 service. I have this Bray's postwar Regular service number, but not his Reserve number from the war. And he is not listed in the USAFHRA list of WW2 aerial credits. They are very poor on picking up RAF/RCAF credits for USAAF members, because they only rarely received official credit (award citation) in USAAF records. That is one reason AA Harrington sent all his memorabilia to a Canadian museum.

The officer R W H Usher flew with Bomber Command, 630 Squadron as a Bomb Aimer and was lost on 8 Dec 1944 aboard Lancaster LM637
