RAF 61st Squadron Daniel Dunkley August 1944
I'd like to ask the RAF especialists for help.
I am looking for photos of an unknwon RAF 61st crew which was shot down on an air raid on Groß-Gerau in 1944 (August 25th/26th). Their target should have been Darmstadt but they failed with the markers and bombed Gross-Gerau and Ruesselsheim. One of the survivors of one or two crashed planes (I assume bombers) was Flight Sergeant Daniel Dunkley, 1016935. I need this information for an exhibition on the lynchings of Americans Air men in Groß-Gerau in August 1944. Thank you very much for your help!
