Seeking date & location for crash of Do17Z 3Z+JH down @ May-June 1940
Hello,
This is advertised as a Do17Z down in Russia, but I think that this is 3Z+JH down sometime during the WC of May-June 1940. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...OIBUAA:US:1123 Does anyone have a candidate for this loss? Regards, |

Re: Seeking date & location for crash of Do17Z 3Z+JH down @ May-June 1940
Hello,
As an additional note to the above, other photos show that this a/c carries an unknown unit insignia on the nose, which is not in the standard reference sources for KG77 insignias. IT looks like some kind of crude diving bird with a bomb in its clutches. Another photos suggests the location, hand-writtten in German on the back, as "near Bordeaux (France)." Still need a date and a specific loss, obviously from air combat with fighters. Regards, |
