Animals towing Luftwaffe aircraft
Dear forum members...
Perhaps you can help, I have a photo of a Bf 110 being pulled by cattle, location and date unknown. Does anyone have similar photos in their collection that they can accurately date? What is the earliest date that you can pin down? I'm vaguely aware that the OKL issued an order sometime in 1944 that forbade aircraft to taxi under their own power to the runway. They were to be towed by horse or other animal to the runway and then back into dispersal to save fuel, but I think this might refer to Me 262s only? Trying to get a caption for the image to use in a production, but can't share it online, frustratingly. thanks for any help Rich
