Missing Nakajimas ?
Hello,
Has anyone any information concerning the location of Nakajima A3N1 and A4N1 aircraft after 07.12.1941? Given that production ceased in 1939 and 1940 respectively it would appear plausible that both types of aircraft continued to see use as trainers after the outbreak of the Pacific War, but I haven't seen anything published on the units operating these aircraft. Looking at Leo Niehorster's site at: http://niehorster.org/014_japan/41-12-08_navy/_ijn.html it would appear that the Suzuka and Iwakuni Kokutais are the most plausible location for the missing aircraft. Has anyone anything more on their whereabouts? Regards, Clint |
