Capt Lloyd G. Hally 353rd FG

Does anybody know where Capt. Lloyd G. Hally crashed on Sept 21st 1944? I mean exactly? I have MACR 9003. he was most likley shot down by Lt. Hofmann of 8./JG 26.

His gravestone in Iowa says DoD is 22.09.1944. Don't know why. Also initial place of burial would help.

Thanks,

John

John

Most likely the exact place is difficult to pinpoint
Bishop/Hay says: "in a wooded area between the village of Kessel and Bedburg- Hau south of the well known historical town of Kleve. Initially buried in the Bedburg-Hau Cemetary"

Thanks, this location is more than sufficient. Jan Hey was a great guy, magnificent researcher and simply a fine gentle humble man. I miss the afternoons talking with him about airwar and MIA research.

John.
