Last unidentified name within JG 5
This will probably take a JG 5 expert to work out.
18th March 1944 1342 hrs P-51 5000 metres Fw "Brerngen" (unlikely name, therefore something similar, or just something. Keep Well Johannes

Many thanks for the suggestion. I can certainly read Baumgart from the scrawl, only outstanding matter is the Staffel reads as 2./JG 5 not 3./JG 5, but even that's unclear. So I'm 95% sure it's the guy. Any idea of the guys subsequent fate? Thanks again Kind Regards Johannes

14 July 1944 3./JG 5 Fw Maximilian Baumgart, ground attacks nothwest of Caen, POW, loss location and reason unknown, Bf 109 G-5 WNr. 110196 yellow 12. Source: JFV Vol. 13/III page 400 and Vol. 13/IV page 498. Regards Leo
