Re: Luftwaffe Aces in the Battle of Britain
I am sure that among those interested in the book (which certainly is quite a few), not a single person will refrain from buying it when (and if!) when he/she finds out that the front cover photo is not taken in France. I like the cover - it depicts Luftwaffe fighter pilots, and the book is about Luftwaffe pilots.

Re: Luftwaffe Aces in the Battle of Britain
Precisely Christer! Only hope it lives up to expectations. Like my RK book, it came as a surprise how many were successful but also how many were forgotten

Re: Luftwaffe Aces in the Battle of Britain
After reading 4 PDFs and going word blind as a result, book goes to printers today or tomorrow. I will keep all who are interested in the picture as to when it is out

Re: Luftwaffe Aces in the Battle of Britain
Received my copy this morning Chris.
Nice looking book, format and plenty of photographs. Looks great on the shelf next to 'Knights of the Battle of Britain'. Thanks for the acknowledgement! All the best, David

Re: Luftwaffe Aces in the Battle of Britain
Thanks David. At least your comments do not accord with the first reviewer on Amazon who, amongst other things, only criticized it saying all the photos had been seen before (really!!??) and the information was readily available (so why has it taken 80 years to produce one book listing all with bios and photos of all but 10 or so......). Enough to want to make you pack it all in

Re: Luftwaffe Aces in the Battle of Britain
Armchair Critics!
5am starts to get to the archives, or see 2-3 veterans in a day. Over-nights stops or days away from the family researching in this country, or a week or two travelling around Europe. Constant letters or emails to other authors/enthusiasts requesting information/photographs. However, always worth it when you see it in print and hold a copy in your hand. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. You'll never please all of the people all of the time and remember, no-one will ever write a definitive history! New information etc will always reveal itself, sometimes days/weeks after publication Good job, great book and a worthy addition to any enthusiast's collection! David

Re: Luftwaffe Aces in the Battle of Britain
Thanks David-if you put your last sentence on Amazon that would counter his review even more!
