LOSS WESTERN FRANCE 23 FEB 43
I have obtained photos from an un-named Beobachter who flew with KSG 3. According to the back of 2 photos, he was killed 23 Feb 43 and buried at Bordeaux. I can find no loss that immediately matches with this incident-by this time KSG 3 had disbanded to become KG 101 so can anyone solve the mystery? I can confirm the unit as being 2/KSG 3 or KG 101 as the officer at the graveside is St Kap Oblt Rudolf Meier

Re: LOSS WESTERN FRANCE 23 FEB 43
A possiblility? Ju 88 A-4, Wk Nr 5648 of I/KG 60 was lost at Cazaux 19 Feb 43 with the deaths of Lt Heinz-Peter Gebhardt, Uffz Walter Fritsch, Uffz Friedrich Stephan & Gefr Erich Preuss, all of which were buried initially at Bordeaux. Maybe the date 23 Feb 43 is the burial?
