Dornier 17 Z (Henschel built) rudder identification

Currently selling at Ebay (unfortunately beyound my range of fire)....

Does anyone knows from the werknummers or piece number informed, to which Dornier Do 17 Z does it belongs?

Could it be Wk,nr 3002 ?

It seems there was a Do 17 Z with that Werknummer

There was a Do 17 E not Z with this Wk Nr which suffered 80% damage in an accident at Thorn with GKS 4 15 Feb 41

no no, Zeichn.Nr. is a drawing number, not W.Nr.
300 is for control, rudder, aileron, elevator

If anyone can decode the Best.Nr., then we are on track, but none can.

Dear ED North,

Thank you for the "classroom" about LW parts and labelling. My knowledge about those things is 0 and I do find fascinating to find real "Masters on the Subject" on this Forum, which can determine that a small wreck belonged to this or that machine, thus finding its fate and the origin of the piece or airplane.

It is, in my humble opinion a Re-engineering working process...and I always learn here at Toch Forum...

Sadly we do not find those pieces down here in South America....IT was one of the most beautiful labels I have found selling and surely the owner deserves it. Hope that he or she may be able to find more about this machine and its stories.

Again thank you for sharing your knowledge and enhancing those who are not familiar, like me, about this subject.
