Two unknown B-24Ds, 415th BS, 98th BG

I read recently Booster McKeester by Willie Chapman 415th BS, 98 BG,

While en route to Palestine with multiple stops, in end of July 1942, landed at Kano, Nigeria.
The B-24D 41-11814, 344th BS 98th BG was lost over Lake Chad area en route Khartoum, 24 July. Accident report exist for the B-24 above.

However:
415th BS embarked on a search mission from Kano, for the lost B-24D above.
Returning to Kano Willie Chapman's B-24D had an landing accident when the landing gear sank down in the ground. A Bulldozer pull the plane off the runway. The plane was non-flyable and non-repairable and abandoned at Kano, Nigeria. Pilot: Paul Francis, p.63
B-24D color: Jungle Green. p.87
Unknown serial and and I can't find any trace about this elsewhere.
Any clues?

Second:
While 415th still where in Haifa during fall, 1942. two badly shot up B-24Ds, jungle green and a sand colored from 415th was salvaged and put together. It had Jungle green body but sand colored wings and tail.
Used as a transport for personnel and equipment movement.
Any clues which B-24Ds that was salvaged?
p.125

Johan,
This website may be worth a closer look: https://www.taracopp.com/98th-Bombardment-Group-WWII

Lots of 98th BG documents to be viewed.

Regards,
Leendert

Going through the History of ATC, Central African Wing A3062, p.399

I finally found the aircraft that had a landing accident in Kano. It was 27 July 1942 and it was B-24D 41-11760. 98BG 415BS

the information can be found at
