31 squadron 1st deployment Op-Herrick - Tornado

Hiya all,

Not my normal plea, I am trying to confirm that 31 Squadron took over from 14 Squadron in late 2011 on Op Herrick. I have 14 Squadron returning to the UK in Feb 2011, and 31 Squadron in August 2011. Is there anyone in between, 12 Squadron maybe?

Hi Danny,

I've got 31 Sqn relieving 617 Sqn on 15th July 2011 and being replaced by 12(B) Sqn on 13th November 2011.

For that period I have the following deployments.

14 Sqn- Det (10/10- 1/11)
12 (B) Sqn- Det (1/11- 4/11)
617 Sqn- Det (4/11- 7/11)
31 Sqn- Det (7/11- 11/11)
12 (B) Sqn- Det (11/11- 3/12)

Though if you're looking at the first 31 Sqn deployment I have the following in 2010.

12 (B) Sqn- Det (6/09- 10/09)
31 Sqn- Det (10/09- 1/10)
IX (B) Sqn- Det (1/10- 4/10)
