MACR 8899 crew details
In regard to the MACR 8899 available on line it is to me illegible.
Does anyone have a readable copy ? Reason is that I am seeking the Service numbers of the following fIve crew members. NARA just gives their enlistment details as far as I can find. 2Lt. Larry G. MESSINGER. 2Lt. Thomas F. MARINEAU. 2Lt. Melvin Christian HALSTEAD. Sgt. Grant M. POWERS. Sgt. Theodore E. GOITEIN. Many thanks Alex |

Re: MACR 8899 crew details
Alex, an interesting problem. The copy of the MACR on line at the National Archives is the same unreadable version as on fold3. I can only find a record for:
Grant M Powers 33207270 I can't find the officer numbers for the 3 Lts nor anything for Goitein. Is Messinger the man involved in the Palomares H-Bomb incident? https://www.thisdayinaviation.com/ta...y-g-messinger/ |

Re: MACR 8899 crew details
Hello Rolland,
Many thanks for the swift reply, I can only think that it must be the same man as it must be 100 to 1 that there were two Larry G Massinger's that flew Bombers in WW2 and post War flew in Bombers again, probability of Korea too ? Thanks again Alex |
