Fate of Hans Iffland,DKiG Holder
Gentlemen,
Hans Iffland was WIA on July,7 1944. His wounds were serious enough for him to not fly in combat again. What was the fate of him then after he couldn't fly in combat? Hans Iffland was a German Cross in Gold holder. He had 18 air to air victories over the Reich. 16 of them were US four-engined bombers. I wonder if Iffland was transfered to a Luftwaffe ground unit? Sincerely, Edward L. Hsiao |
