Looking for information about Kü.Fl.Gr. 106

I would welcome any data about Kü.Fl.Gr. 106, a small Gruppe not very well documented.

I am interested
particularly by the period when it was based in Brittany.

I am also looking for more information about the crash hereunder, and specially its crew :

13.12.41 2./Kü.Fl.Gr. 106, He 111 H-2, 5599, 4,5 km nordöstlich Fl.Pl. Morlaix,
Flugzeugführer Fw Bonsack, Fritz, +
Bordfunker Ogfr Wittig, Otto, +
Bordmechaniker Uffz Gawlik, Gerhard, +
1.Wart Gefr Schröter, Heinz, +
Absturz. Bruch 80 %.

(I am grateful to Matti for having provided the above)

Thanks everybody for your continous support.

GC

Gilles

106 is one of those units about which little is known due to switching types and then becoming part of KG 6. It did take part in the Baedeker Blitz & was in action at Dieppe but for the latter was in the throes of changing designation. It was mainly a Ju 88 unit so presume having a He 111 was for training or transport

Operations during the period were focused on reconnaissance of British shipping and anti-shipping and ASR operations over the Bay of Biscay, Celtic Sea and St George's Channel.

Prior to this & after it was engaged in attacks on land targets particularly coastal ones.
