Lancaster R5489 44 Sqn - memorial

Whilst on a local walk in Branston, Lincolnshire this afternoon I came across this new memorial to the crew of 44 Sqn Lancaster R5489, which crashed on 16 Aug 42 whilst on a training flight. The crash site is now under a new housing estate which is still under construction.
The relevant year of "RAF Bomber Command Losses" does not list all of the crew.

Nice work AndyMa ,interestingly the Sqn codes are all over the shop...as per, no wonder Chorley had a hard time of it.

The memorial doesn't say who survived...

Nevertheless a great act of remembrance.

From the current facts available it appears that Pulinger and Fletcher died, the rest appearing to have survived.

Yes, that is correct, they are named on the seating bench part of the memorial.
