Balloons with US-Air Service in Germany 1918-1921
I' m looking for information about the type of Balloon they use and how many units they have at that time. I know about 10 different Balloon-Companies and locations, but there must be more!!

Interesting subject! It appears that the US forces mainly used French-designed Caquot Type R balloons. See http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/fac...eet.asp?id=281 Number of balloon companies reached over 100, but not all served in Europe. Grüss, Leendert |
