Anti shipping Southern France

I'm interested in details about anti-shipping missions flown along the mediterrnean's coasts of France From Marsh to August of 1944 by Squadron 39 and 272's Beaufighter operating from sardinia and Corsica. I'm interested as well in reco mission flown by Marauders of N° 14 Squadron
Thank you for your help

Guy

Hello Guy,

you could try "The Armed Rovers" by Roy Conyers Nesbit
and
"The Winged Bomb" by Ken Delve A History of 39 Squadron

Cheers

Hello Guy,

You can read about the Marauder operations by No.14 Squadrons in "Winged Promises" by Vincent Orange and Deryck Stapleton.

Cheers

Re: Anti shipping Southern France

Thanks peter ,
There is a very intresting link about 14 Squadron :

http://www.14sqn-association.org.uk/...qn%20home.html

In 1944 Squadron 14 flew Martin Marauders in reco duties for the Beaufighters (Sq 272 and 39) Americans B-25 G (310th BG) and the british and french submarines.
These forces were very active along the southern French coasts.

Cheers

Guy
