V-1 bombs shot down by U.S. Air Force

Dear colleagues,
does anyone know how many V-1 bombs were shot down by U.S. Air Force and what pilots the credits were given to? As far as I can tell, one of them (or even the very first fo them) was Capt. Rymond M. Walsh from the 406th FG.
Thanks. Regards, Filip Vojtasek

Hi,
check out "Diver! Diver! Diver!" by Brian Cull, it details every V-1 kill by both RAF + USAAF (available on Amazon)

Cheers

Bruce,

I think in this case Brian can give a little...maybe the numbers, or something along those lines.

Not coming from Brian's book, but you can find some data there:

Strange - Capt. Walsh is not listed here...

Re: V-1 bombs shot down by U.S. Air Force

Hi Filip - hope this helps.

Firstly, thanks Laurent for indicating Jan's list - I sent the information to Jan! It saves me the job of extracting same from 'Diver Diver Diver.'

However, there is at least one omission on his list - that of Ray Walsh. He was credited with a V-1 on 18/6/44. I haven't time at the moment to check but all that I could find on US V-1 kills are in the book. The total credits appear to be 31 plus one shared. But do bear in mind that I was unable to find any 'official' list of US claims - so there may be more.

Cheers
Brian
