BEAUFIGHTER X7690

Looking for a photo and details of Beaufighter X7690 of 219 Squadron "A" Flight RAF Tangmere, Sussex.

What version was it?

Also looking for a picture of the Pilot: Squadron Leader John Groves Topham, (Officer Commanding "A" Flight) and AI Op/Nav: FO Berridge

They shot down a Heinkel 111 from Kampfgeschwader 100 – 1 Staffel pathfinder on 8 May 1942 that crashed near Patcham, Brighton

Any help appreciated - thank you

Re: BEAUFIGHTER X7690

Both AIR 27 info bairs little resemblance to what actually happened. Look at local Regt info stationed near Patcham for details.

Could exband further but have a book that includes new details about to be released.
