Sgt. E.A. Bolster, RAFVR 1090706 (Name please)

Hi Folks

Can anyone help with the Christian names for the following Sgt. pilot from 137 Squadron.

Sgt. E.A. Bolster, RAFVR 1090706

I think I have the correct service number but I've had no luck tracing him in the LG.

Any help, including sources and where he went after 137 Sqdn. would be much appreciated.

TYAIA Paul

You won't find him in the LG since that is his NCO service number. His NCO service number will only appear if he was awarded for his duty. It will also be printed if he was commishioned as an officer but as a quirk of the scanning of LG one can very very very rarely find the NCO numbers as they get tacked onto the previously scanned line.

using freebmd.org.uk, the only likely E A Bolster born in England was one in 1915/1916, Ernest A Bolster in London.

There is a likely wedding for this name in 1943 also.

he may have passed away in 1999, his name being Ernest Alfred Bolster
