Bf109 E-7 W.Nr. 2218 - anyone have loss info?

I have a relic from this aircraft, and I was curious if anyone has any hostpry on the plane? I suspect it is an E-7...

Bf109D-1, TA+NR, FFS A/B 120 in March 1941, I.JG107 in June 1943.

Is it the WNr of the plane or is it a WNr of a part from that plane? Please show us the WNr. plate.

Hi!

Disagree? No, not all...

All Me109's had the werk number stamped (or written by hand) onto the back of the Radio Access Hatch, the Luggage Hatch, the Windscreen framing, and other areas. I suspect this was incase of a loss where not much wreckage was identifiable? This was the same for all Me109's....so no data plate...

2118 is stamped onto the back, thus indicating the airframe it originally beloinged to. For sure it is not a part number, as the part number for the Access Hatch is 109-12... .
